Opera comes to your place
Opera – the most extensive art form, uniquely combining the grand drama of the theater with the beauty of the natural sound of the human voice – is often regarded as something only for connoisseurs or purists, difficult to approach and understand, requiring special knowledge, high social status, and of course a lot of money to pay the horrendous ticket prices. We want to change that!
The intention of the greatest opera composers was always to make their works accessible to the population, and to profoundly touch people with the beauty of classical music. That is what we want to do by bringing the essence of opera to your location! With a program accommodating some of the most intense, dramatic and moving arias from the operatic repertoire (including Puccini’s Tosca, Verdi’s Otello, Weber’s Der Freischütz, Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, and many more), we hope to give the audience an evening they will never forget, and open the doors to the magical world of classical music.

Alan Razzak is a Croatian tenor. After graduating at Utrecht Conservatory, he continued his vocal studies with tenor James McCray at the International Studio of Vocal Arts Den Haag. Under McCray’s guidance, Alan’s voice has developed into a spinto/dramatic tenor. Alan’s recent repertoire includes Florestan in Fidelio (Beethoven), Canio in Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Don José in Carmen (Bizet), Jimmy Mahoney in Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny (Weill), Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni), and Aeneas in Dido & Aeneas (Purcell). Since 2001, Alan works as a voice teacher and opera singer.
Sergej Strid is a Swedish pianist and conductor. In recent years, he has initiated and directed a number of large projects, involving orchestras and choirs with more than a hundred participants. Highlights include Beethoven’s opera Fidelio (2014), Mozart’s Requiem (2013), Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 (2012), and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy (2011).

Die Absicht der größten Opernkomponisten war es immer ihre Werke für die Bevölkerung zugänglich zu machen und die Menschen mit der Schönheit der klassischen Musik tief zu berühren. Diese Tradition wecken wir wieder zum Leben, indem wir die Essenz der Oper direkt zu Ihnen bringen! Alan Razzak ist ein kroatischer Tenor. Nach dem Abschluss am Konservatorium Utrecht setzte er sein Gesangsstudium am Internationalen Studio of Vocal Arts in Den Haag mit dem Tenor James McCray fort. Unter der Leitung von McCray hat sich Alans Stimme in Richtung eines Spinto bzw. dramatischen Tenors entwickelt. Alans jüngstes Repertoire umfasst Florestan in Fidelio (Beethoven), Canio in Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Don José in Carmen (Bizet), Jimmy Mahoney in Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny (Weill), Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana (Mascagni) und Aeneas in Dido & Aeneas (Purcell). Seit 2001 ist Alan als Gesangslehrer und Opernsänger tätig.
Sergej Strid ist ein schwedischer Pianist und Dirigent. In den letzten Jahren hat er eine Reihe von Großprojekten mit Orchestern und Chören geleitet, oft mit mehr als hundert Teilnehmern. Zu den Höhepunkten gehören Beethovens Oper Fidelio (2014), Mozarts Requiem (2013), Beethovens Sinfonie Nr. 9 (2012) und Beethovens Chorfantasie (2011).
